Welcome to parenting 101...

🏩 CONGRATULATIONS. Welcome to being a parent(s) for weekend #2. If you are on here then you have a signed permission slip and now have a baby simulator for the weekend. To review a few things...

     1. Your baby simulator (enter name here 😉) has been activated for 2pm on Friday afternoon - Sunday at 6pm.

       2. This infant shall be treated like a REAL BABY. Other than actual bathing, you will be required to complete many caring behaviors which we have reviewed in class. 👶

        3. This blog is for you to share your thoughts, experiences and concerns over your weekend with an infant.  You are to post a minimum of 6 comments throughout your weekend. If you are partnered that is a minimum of 12 posts. 😇

         4. Posts should be free from inappropriate language and crude comments. We are simulating a mature  experience and need to post with mature thoughts and comments. 🙀

          5. Baby simulator check-in will be on TUESDAY MORNING from 7:00am -7:40am. I will meet you in the NEW GYM LOBBY and collect all of your baby items ... 💖

          6.  Diaper bag contents:  diaper (green), bottle, green onesie, duck onesie, fleece onesie, blanket, care card 👜

           7. Baby leaves and returns to school in: blue or pink outfit (gender specific), diaper (yellow).👍

            8. Baby leaves and returns to school STRAPPED IN CAR SEAT with CAR SEAT BASE ATTACHED.  🚗

             9. If a problem arises either post on here or email me at kharvey@egsd.net. 💬

              10.  See you on Tuesday morning... 😜.  Mrs. Harvey

  7. I'm literally freaking out, my baby didn't cry until 3 in the morning and I tried putting my ID in every single place and it didn't work. I swear I was helping it, I took pictures to prove I wasn't neglecting it. So I tried the neck one and I think it worked cause it just went dead silent. But when I tried a bottle no sound came out so I just changed it.

  8. today has been good. I have fed it and changed it only once. bizmo has been a good kid

    ReplyDelete
  9. The baby had made three noises in the hour I have had it. I am loving life right now. No crying.

  10. Baby hasn't cried for a while. I hope this means I'm doing something right.

  11. These are Jakii Anderson's Blog Entries (I have to submit them in for her because she doesn't have a computer.)

    1. (10/11 - 3:32 pm) All seems quiet...is this thing even on?

    2. (10/11 - 9:22 pm) My baby cried consecutively 3 times, each about a minute apart. It's gonna be a long night.

    3. (10/12 - 4:00 am) I just took care of the baby for 40 minutes. I should be sleeping right now...

    4. (10/12 - 7:31 am) I usually sleep in on Saturday morning...not today.

    5. (10/12 - 12:01 pm) The baby is actually being quiet! So happy right now.

    6. (10/12 - 3:07pm) I only have a little while left with the baby, and then I give it to my partner. Longest two days of my life.

  12. 10/12 - 6:04pm First cry. I had no idea what to do and was really just freaking out the entire time. Gosh, it's scary when you have no idea what to do. Well, she did finally quiet down, which makes me very happy! I really hope she just sleeps for a good hour or two.

  13. At first it was hard to figure out what the baby needed when it cried, but after a while it got easier

    ReplyDelete
  14. Baby has finally started crying again. It has been a few hours. Time to start parenting again

    ReplyDelete
  15. 10/12 - 8:37 It cried, I changed it diaper. A minute later, it cried some more. I feed it. For about 15 minutes. It cried some more, I began to pat it's back so it could burp. Lasted 5 minutes. Now it's quiet. I'm already tired.

    ReplyDelete
  16. My baby cried at 3:30 this morning. I had to feed him for 25 minutes. I'm hoping tonight and tomorrow morning will be better

    ReplyDelete
  17. It's 1:30 and DJ has finally gone to sleep. Now I hope I can do the same before he wakes up and starts crying

    ReplyDelete
  18. It's finally Sunday. I'm hoping DJ will keep the crying to a minimum today

    ReplyDelete
  19. the baby cries every hour and its loud

    ReplyDelete
  20. i try everything and it still cries, but then i pat its back once and it stopped

    ReplyDelete
  21. I was up last night a 1, 5, 545, and 7... so I lost like four hours of sleep.....

    ReplyDelete
  22. I was in the shower and it cried and when I tried helping it, nothing worked, and it stopped crying after a minute. So I finished showering and it cried again.....

    ReplyDelete
  23. It's 2:23 and Today has been a good day. DJ has only cried a handful of times.

    ReplyDelete
  24. The baby woke me up at 1 in the morning, then again at 5:30 and again at 7. I am so tired right now.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Lately, it's been crying like crazy, giving me only a few minutes between each cry.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I've been so tired lately. This baby was a lot of work!

    ReplyDelete
  27. And...I'm glad it's over. Just saying, I never want kids.

    ReplyDelete
  28. It's finally 6:00. This last hour has been the longest hour of my life

    ReplyDelete
  29. The baby cried 6 times when I was sleeping and it was so hard trying to go back to sleep after it woke me up

    ReplyDelete
  30. It's so hard trying to drive somewhere with the baby in the car because you never know if the baby's going to cry while you're driving

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yesterday I went to the mall with the baby and I got a bunch of disapproving looks. I now know what a teen mom has to deal with

    ReplyDelete
  32. Before this weekend I didn't realize how long it actually takes to feed a baby. Half an hour can seem like forever

    ReplyDelete
  33. Taking care of a fake baby for the weekend was hard enough. I don't know how real parents do it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. the baby drank for 40 minutes I coudn't feel my arm

    ReplyDelete
  35. I babysit a lot and this was much harder

    ReplyDelete
  36. I had to change the baby's diaper twice at the football game...

    ReplyDelete
  37. it woke me up 5 times throughout the night

    ReplyDelete
  38. people abused my baby at the football game

    ReplyDelete
  39. I hated this project I was contemplating killing the kid and at one point we thought the baby died

    ReplyDelete
  40. For the first few hours, the baby did not cry and it was easy to change the baby's clothing.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Than once it became about 10 o'clock at night, the flood gates opened up. I had to feed the baby 3 times, each session ten minutes long, and than I had to burp and change the baby twice.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Also, it cried three times at 1:30 in the morning in span of five minutes. This was the worst part because it got so loud that my parents were woken up.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The most difficult part of the project was the fact that it would cry and cry and than would not stop, even if you did what it wanted. I would feed it and than a minute later, it would cry again to be fed.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Also, my baby would be quiet for hours and than all of a sudden it would cry every two minutes for ten minutes. I feel like that is a flaw in the system.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I am not having children. This project drained me physically and mentally. I think I got 7 hours of sleep over 2 days.

    ReplyDelete
  46. My baby is still crying and needing its diaper changes on Monday. I am hoping that it shuts off at 6 PM. After two nights of crying, I am spent.

    ReplyDelete
  47. 1.) 5pm Saturday - Slim just cried for the first time. I think that was the most obnoxious thing I've ever heard.
2.) 730pm Saturday - My baby woke up again and is now wailing its eyes out. I can't believe I've only had this kid for two hours.
3.) 1030pm Saturday - Here we go again. Slim just downed the bottle for a solid 30 minutes. I think my arms are about to fall off my body.
4.) 130am Sunday - I just woke up to the sound of my screaming baby. Not only did this kid need a diaper change, he needed to be feed once more for a good 20 minutes.
5.) 530am Sunday - Not again. Babies can sure soil themselves pretty quick
6.) 8am Sunday - Alright, I'm up. A crying Slim has now woken up three times during the night and I can honestly say I'm not having a child for a while.

  52. 10/25 at 2:44pm Got home with it and everything is going fine so far... I'm scared for when it will cry to be honest ;-; I think I'll be really scared and shocked and not know what to do when it cries. I'm staying up all night so that I won't be angry if it cries in the middle of the night and I have to get up so that won't be a problem hopefully. Any tips on when it cries though? D: Wish me luck!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Oh it has been sleeping since I have gotten home by the way. I have been practicing how I hold the baby and support the head so I don't mess up accidently when it cries. Just telling you now. I will update later.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hikarume has been breathing (I assume sleeping) for about 2 hours now and I need to go outside. Going to hold the baby i need to get the mail because no one else in the house will get up off their butts to do it. Come on little on we're going on a trip outdoors :D Ugh if it starts crying once I get outside I'm just going to sit down and cry along with it ;-;

  55. 10/25 4:49 Just started crying. I flipped out, and tried rocking it and burping it until I realized that I needed to do the ID thing. If it cried longer than necessary, it's because the ID wouldn't work on the chest one and I had to do the lower one. Let me tell you. I was flipping out so much it scared me and I finally changed it's diaper and it stopped immediately. Although, within 5 minutes it started crying again and I forgot about the ID thing again and when I rememered about it rushed to do it and gave it the bottle while rocking it. It drank for like 15 minutes....My poor left arm is numb. It just stopped and it is now 5:15... Make it quiet for another few hours now okay? ;-;

    ReplyDelete
  56. 10/25 5:40 Started crying AGAIN and I remembered and did the ID as soon as I heard it start up and then it beeped and crying full freaking blast in my ear. I trying rocking it and burping it and my mom heard me screaming at it in frustration and came in and changed it position and burped it. I am literally shaking it is so frustrating

    ReplyDelete
  57. 10/25 5:55pm whimpering for ages now. Been patting its back for a very long time now and it won't quiet down. I tried rocking it but the cries grew louder when I did that so now I'm still trying to burp it but it wont work it keeps whimpering. My partner won't pick up his phone and my mom isn't home to help me. Please make it shut up :(

    ReplyDelete
  58. 6:22 pm Tried everything the care card suggested and its still whimpering. I'm really frustrated at this point. Harvey please shut the thing up

    ReplyDelete
  59. 10/25 6:30pm Finally stopped whimpering after an hour of patting it on the back it made a happy noise and now its breathing, hopefully sleeping for a very long long long long long long time I hate this project so much I hope you know that ;-;

    ReplyDelete
  60. 10/25 7:04pm It isn't making any noise whatsoever and I did everything right! I gave her the bottle and she drank it for like 5 minutes and then she fell asleep and then she woke up and started whimpering so I burped her and she burped within 3 minutes. Made me very happy. I would be happier though if I heard it breathing, because now it's not making any noise at all... I didn't kill it did I? O.O

    ReplyDelete
  61. 10/26 3:34am woke me up while screaming and I didn't even realize I fell asleep! Frustrated and only a few more hours to goil the handoff. Please just some more quiet time is all I ask for

    ReplyDelete
  62. 10/26 12am Baby went off with my partner for the remainder time and baby didn't give me too much trouble this morning. The crying was easily stopped and so was the whimpering. So glad to be rid of it. Good Luck, Ryan xD

    ReplyDelete
  64. The baby woke me up in the middle of the night at least four times. I'm like the living dead today.

    ReplyDelete
  65. At first I was nervous to pick up the baby because I didn't want its' neck to snap. But after awhile I became more confident with picking him up.

    ReplyDelete
  66. When the baby is eating in the middle of the night it seems a lot longer than it actually is.

    ReplyDelete
  67. The burping confused me because no matter what I did it wouldn't stop crying. The first night it woke me up at 1:00am and I wanted to cry along with it.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Six o'clock!!!! I don't think I've ever been happier in my life. This project has only enforced my decision that I don't want to have kids!!
